The Valentine Lodge is located on the Cains River, New Brunswick. Described as a sportsman's and nature lover's paradise, “Valentine’s” is situated in a remote location surrounded by crown woodland. This 500-acre property is the perfect setting for a wilderness vacation like no other.
The Miramichi River has been "THE" destination of serious Atlantic Salmon anglers for over a century. Little wonder when you consider the Miramichi River produces annual Atlantic Salmon runs in excess of 70,000 fish.
Valentine's offers extensive private water on some of the most remote and breathtaking rivers in the region. The home waters of the Cains River cover over three miles and 7 pools. Guests have the opportunity to fish private water on all branches of the Miramichi system.

Fishing at Valentines begins as the ice leaves the river, usually mid April. Your guide will pilot you from pool to pool as you seek out that hot spot just teeming with hungry spring salmon. June through August brings bright salmon to the river and fishing is good on all branches of the Miramichi. The Cains River comes alive in September as the big fall salmon start to stack up in the home waters.
Brook Trout season begins in May and it isn't long before the big sea run brookies are in the river. It’s common to catch brookies in the 4 to 5 pound range and during the height of the run trout of 7 pounds and up have been caught. Native river and stream trout are always in abundance and just about any water deep enough to cover their backs will be full of these wild trout and offer plenty of fun on lightweight gear
