Description
Established in 1973 in Riley Brook, New Brunswick, Tobique Valley Outfitters ranks among the top sporting lodges in Eastern Canada. The modern well-equipped log lodges are located on an acre in a quiet, secluded riverfront setting and offer the utmost in comfort and solitude. Tobique Valley Outfitters offer many different adventures: hunting, fishing, hiking the Appalachian trails, skidoing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, four-wheeling, canoeing, kayaking, bird watching, and more!
This operation has a Main Lodge, Valley Lodge, and Owner’s Residence. The Main Lodge consists of a sitting area and sleeps 10. Valley Lodge consists of an eating area for the guests and sleeps 7. The well-equipped log country lodging offers the best in comfort and solitude. There is also a garage and 2 storage sheds on the property.
Tobique Valley Outfitters has sole access to large areas of private, controlled access land which has not been hunted since 1994. Large bears in good numbers are a given. The big and unpredictable New Brunswick bears are hunted from portable tree stands or ground blinds over active baits during the spring.
Some very nice trophy White-tailed Deer are available in this area. The Spruce and Maple ridges and numerous Cedar swamps provide ideal food and cover for the Deer herd. The gene pool in this area offers a significant ratio for trophy animals.
This area is second to none for Grouse and Woodcock. Different covers can be hunted everyday with many alder flats along streams and deserted farms. Spectacular wing shooting is available on the Woodcock’s main migration route. This area has some of the finest duck and goose hunting in Atlantic Canada. The Tobique River and Lake system is one of the richest feeding grounds in the Atlantic flyway. With this operation you have access to over 2000 acres of properly managed fields and wetlands. The combination of fantastic Water Fowling and Upland Hunting makes for a remarkable hunting adventure.
Serious fishing is to be had at Le Reservoir Manicouagan where world class fishing can be found in its massive watershed. This is really a magnificent exclusive territory. The Smallmouth Bass is most likely the best Bass fishing someone will experience. It is very common in the spring to catch over 200 fish per day, 4 and 5 pounders are common.
Some of the best Atlantic Salmon waters in the world are located here. This area has exclusive rights to the famous Miramichi and Cains Rivers. Trout fishing is also available from the lodge on the Tobique River system. |
